My wife and I needed to get Florida drivers licenses and we made online appointments for the DMV office in the Mall of the Americas off of Flagler. We just went this past Tuesday at noon, although we made the appointment two weeks earlier. It was a breeze. Although there was a long line for those who had just walked in, there was a separate line for those with appointments and we had just one person in front of us. After waiting about 2 minutes, we went up to the receptionist, showed her our IDs and other requisite documents, and then she gave us slips of paper with a number on it and told us to wait until we were called. After about 5 minutes, we were called up to another desk, took our vision tests and photos, and then we walked over to the cashier and paid our $48. We then waited about another 5 minutes to receive our licenses.

All-in-all, the whole process took about 15-20 minutes. Best, most efficiently-run DMV office I've ever been to.
